Located 130km south of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong National Park is an important nature reserve and ecosystem with peaks of over 600 meters and valleys of subtropical rainforest. The park is home to more than 300 bird species. It is a very good place to do a side trip from Hanoi for Bird Watching.

Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park (L,D)
8:00 Meet tour guide and car of Paradise Indochina Travel then drive to Cuc Phuong National park for the 3-Day Cuc Phuong National Park Bird Watching Tour (130km south of Hanoi). Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre. we keep drive to Cave of Prehistoric man - the site of one of the earliest discoveries of human habitation in Vietnam for looking some Stone babbler, Limestone Wren Babbler.
Check in the Guest House inside the park. Have Lunch there.
In the afternoon we continue the 3-Day Cuc Phuong National Park Bird Watching Tour observing the birds gathering in the Botanical Garden and in the lush rain forest. After that drive to the central of park, en-route stop at bird station for watching birds After cached bird stations on the way. Keep drive to the central for another bird view point and bird route for looking other species as Pied Falconet, Eared Blue-rumped, Bar-bellied Pittas... Dinner and relax then overnight in Cuc Phuong National Park
Day 2: Cuc Phuong National Park - Bird watching (B,L,D)
Approximate 6:00am (may be little early or later base seasons), vehicle and local guide will take you to a place in the middle of Cuc Phuong National Park to view different kinds of birds singing. You need to be patient and spend 30 minute to 40 minutes to view colorful birds and a variety of endangered bird species. Then go back the guest-house to have breakfast.
After breakfast, continue the 3-Day Cuc Phuong National Park Bird Watching Tour you go to another station to see some crowded common family of Kestrels, Kingfishers, Blue-rumped, Magpie robin, Nightingale, Racket-tailed treepie, Red-collared Woodpecker, White eye, Eared Pittas, White-winged Magpie, Starling...
The 6-km trail passes through a wood of giant trees, some of which are over 1000 years old. Return to the guesthouse in late afternoon. Dinner, relax and overnight inside the park.
Day 3: Cuc Phuong - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Hanoi (B,L)
After breakfast, we drive to Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel with King Dinh Temple dating back to the 10th Century history. Then continue to Tam Coc. Take a 2hour boat trip along Ngo Dong River to visit the “preserving nature area” with Karst landscape and land under the water. Lunch in restaurant near by and go back to Hanoi.
