Nha Xa, in Ha Nam provine, located right next to the Red River's dyke, together with Van Phuc in Ha Dong, Hanoi are the most well-known silk villages in the North region because the silk in these areas is famous for its quality, colors. Although the glory of the village has gone, Nha Xa silk has been still preserved until now after over 100 years.
Bat Trang Pottery Village is mostly handcrafted, showing the creative talent of the workers. The ivory-white glaze, cahiseled and the natural pattern of Bat Trang pottery is highly appreciated by art buyers. 08:00 Tour guide and bus pick you up at your place then go to Nha Xa silk village . Heading on national road No1, you cross by rice fields, vegetable farms and it will be a good chance to shot countryside pictures, farmers with water buffalo,….
10:00 Arrive Nha xa silk village. You walk around to discover the village when going to each family and feel the busy works. And you also hear the textile sound of weaving machine, and many of the work all day and night. When socializing with locals, you will understand more about their productions and the market competition these days.
11:30 Get transfered back to Hanoi. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant in Hanoi Old Quarter. Time for relaxing.
14:30 Visit Bat Trang ceramics village which produces and supply daily household use (bow, cup, plates, pot, bottle…). Nowadays, the pottery artists bring into ceramics many innovations in production techniques, and creativity in products’ features.
15:00 Try yourselve to be a local craftman in Bat Trang village by taking part in pottery class, you can try by your hands to model different shapes with clay materials prepared in the workshop.
